“Diplomatic relations between the two
countries are promising”.

The
historic relations between the two countries continued to grow over the years
and both the countries did never look back. This was said by His Excellency Mr.
Muhammad Zulqar Nain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Algeria at the 52th
Independence and National reception event hosted by him. This well attended
event was graced by two Algerian ministers, Honourable Minister for Parliament,
vocational Education Minister, members of Parliament, Ambassadors and the
members of diplomatic corps, high officials, investors and businessmen.
The
economy of Bangladesh has registered more than 7% increase growth during the
last decade. As per IMF reduction, Bangladesh is poised to become the 23rd
largest economy by 2041. The economy development in Bangladesh has resulted the
bilateral trade growth between Algeria and Bangladesh. Bangladesh has become
one of the largest buyers of Algerian dates. Bangladesh imported 14000 tons of
dates before the month of Ramadan in 2022. It also become interested to import
Algerian oil and gas, olive and dried fruits.
Apart
from providing the high quality interactions among the guests, the Reception of
Bangladesh Embassy featured spectacular touristic and cultural documentaries
that captured high attention of the distinguished audience about Bangladesh. The
guests were also happy to relish a delightful array of culinary delights
including the freshly cooked famous lamb biriyani from Bangladesh Embassy. The
diplomatic relations between the two countries are also promising in the near
future about 17 agreements / MoUs are now under forms to be signed very soon.
